This iswithout a doubt the best book in the Curious George series. Georgemistakenly eats a jigsaw puzzle piece, thinking that it might becandy. When his stomach starts to hurt the next morning, the Man inthe Yellow Hat takes him to the hospital. What follows is a verydetailed account of all the things that a child might expect toencounter while undergoing a simple surgery. George encounterseverything from xrays to shots to a somewhat painful recovery as hesets up residence for a couple of days in the children'sward.
While beginning readers are convinced that they are enjoyingthemselves with George, their supervising adults are equally surethat they are learning something. Both are absolutely right." --Review
